Ultimately, you're going to get both wheels and the engine upgrade.

Get your wheels now and wait until your engine needs work and then go for the big bore installation.

If you're thinking about the 21" front you'll have to consider a Heritage or aftermarket fender to accomodate.

I am kind of following your line of thinking right now. I will end up doing both, or at least upgrading my cams. I was thinking I would need a heritage style fender to accomodate the 21". That's why I may go with the 18" on front and rear. It still gives me the bigger diameter and I can keep my stock fender.

Where did you guys buy your wheels? I just got a good quote from KC International. Waiting to hear back from warehousedirec.com.

Southside Kustoms when up about $270 from the quote they gave me back in May, so they're out.

WHEELS , Harleys are about looks/sound , not speed ! Do the hop-up and you have faster Harley among stock Harleys , still a slug compared to metric . Plus as you get more radical on your build you loose dependability .

why do you need a faster harley? What r u gonna do race it?

Ask yourself this..
"why do we put all these little things like "axle caps" on our bikes?" .......
Answer.....Vanity Baby!! Pure Vanity.
It's all about lookin good!!! If you wanted the fastest bike you would'a bought a rice burn'in death rocket.

Don't get me wrong, I love the power, and I love the sound of a beefy exhaust, but really, how fast are you gonna go?

Go with the wheels dude!!

What Dinger said.If you want a 21" on the front you'll have to change fenders or do some mods to your's.My opinion is the 21" just doesn't look right on a Fatboy, don't know why especially when you look at a bike like Dingers and it looks so right on there.18's would look good.I've got aftermarket wheels and a built engine on my bike now,but I'm thinking about getting a Bagger and if I do I'll probably just add some nice wheels and leave the rest stock.I think a good set of wheels adds the most bang for your buck.
