I found one on e-bay and rigid mounted it. Total cost-52.(including shipping)
Was it pretty easy to hard mount that saddle? What did you have to modify? It looks like you did away with that "seat fairing". Did you just leave the batery exposed or what did you do to cover it up?
Hi- I just purchased a Thunder Mountain Harley... what a bike! (I believe the model is Sterling however title does not specify...?)
Anyhow: I need to sort something out regarding the seat. I am 5'10", and sit about 2 inches further back on the bike than I would prefer... so: I'm looking to either get the seat modified (leather needs redoing anyhow), or just getting a new seat.

I'm told you can put a standard seat on the cross bones if you remove hinge bolt at the front of the seat. I just haven't taken a look yet because of rather ride. But I've seen a few online with a standard seat and it looks good. Anyone done this yet?
