What a pain in the @ss!! They dont "bolt on".... 07' Heritage.... I had to modify a 9/16 socket to loosen the nut on the passing lights and it took 2 hours and it's still not right. WTF? Dealer says "yeah bolts right on"... BS. Turn sig in the way...

 

Sounds like you are putting them on backwards.

Installation should take less than 10 min.
