I lowered my 91 Heritage 1.5" with no problems with the kick stand,
I also just lowered my 08 Rocker 1" so me lady friend can ride it, I used the ness kit.

You can adjust it from 1/2-3" very easily.
Don’t forget that because you are light you could loosen up the shocks a little to soften them after lowering it. It will ride harder. This is very easy with the spanner wrench from the dealer $20
I don’t recommend changing shocks to progressive wound because your weight will not compress them.
I put progressive (then removed them) on my 91 and when my gal rides it the suspension does not move.

I agree, wait on your seat to get done first. Then I would look into an air ride suspension. I don't have one yet, but hoping too by spring!

Good lookin Fatty. Let see some pictures with that custom seat.

I would wait on the seat too. There is a lot of difference between seats. I am a lot lower with the sidekick than I ever was with the stock seat or with the sundowner seat. I would say the stock seat was the highest.
