so that's what might screw up.......
thanks for the info. I do a lot of long runs on hot summer days. Maybe I shouldn't do the mod then.

Just try it, but be aware of it when or if it happens. When it happens, the first thing that comes to mind is, WTF just happened????? You don't think of what you did to the bike may have caused the result. You automatically think something is wrong and don't know what it is or it's cause. You end up chasing, testing, replacing other stuff in hopes it fixes it or goes away. The dealers have no clue or care, they are there to separate you from as much of your money as they can.

I did the mod on my 09 heritage, easy as 123 to do. so far no probs with it, though I did see the mention on the paperwork that came with the mod...aslo not had tomany sommer rides yet so not sure yet.

I have now had the kit on five bikes, all with factory security systems and not one problem.

Just did this mod a couple of days ago, its plug and play, but since its winter time wont know if it has the problem of shutting down but it will be the first thing i check this year if ai have any problems.

For whatever unknown reason, some bikes are effected and some are not. I'm not done testing mine as the bad weather is here. When I removed mine, I took it on a 114 mile run, it did not shut down. When the mod was in place, it would always shut down within 75 miles of a continuous run. Does this mean it is in fact that module?? I hope so, but maybe one run isn't enough. The problem sue is pointing in that direction right now!
