Default 05 heritage light bar

Has anybody put the Road Glide lightbar kit on the rear of there Heritage? The catalog says it won't fit a Heritage because of the bags. My brothers friend has it on his Heritage but they live near L.A. and I live in Oregon, we met in Reno this summer and I really liked the way his lights looked. I asked him what they were and he pointed to my brothers Road Glide and said that's what they were. I am waiting for my brother to go ove rhis buddy's house and take a picture to send me, but was wondering if anybody had any info on this.
They really look a lot better than the big lollypops.

Thanks, Ron

Can anybody help me out here? I want to put the Road Glide light bar on my 05 Heritage. I have seen it on a Heritage before, but the catalog says it won't fit late models because the bags interfere with the back of the light.
If anybody has them can you post a picture of the clearance between the bags and the back of the light? It looks so much better without the big lollypop lights. I met my brother and his friend in Reno for Street Vibrations and his friend has them on his Heritage, but he bought it that way and he is not a mechanical guy at all.

Thanks, Ron

It will fit, but what you have to do is get the detachable sissy bar hardware kit for your bike. The detachable mounts move the saddle bags out away from the fender enough to use the shorty turn signal bar.

P/N 53931-03 fits 05-07 FLSTC (Detachable Docking hardware for OE Saddle bags) $39.99
P/N 53815-00 fits 05-07 FLSTC (Detachable side plates for sissy bar) $39.99

So for an extra $80.00 plus tax, you can make your shorty turn signal bar work. If you already have the detachable hardware for your sissy bar you're set.
