Default Another solo seat question

Ok, I know alot of questions have been asked about solo seat preferences, but what I would like to know is which ones actually cover the two rear mounting bolts on a fatboy. I've heard the Mustang does, wondering if any of the others do also. I think it would be a cleaner look if they were covered rather than exposed. Thanks for any replies.

Tried 3 different seats over 4 yrs. Im back to my stock seat, just cant beat the comfort. I split the seat and run it solo. When going 2 up , just reconnect pillion pad. I used to worry about looks, now its comfort. Just got tired of having a sore a$$. Plus i believe the stock seat is the only one to cover the rear mounting bolts, i maybe wrong.

Thanks for the info, surely there are some other brands that also cover the two rear mount screws. Anyone?

I have tried 3 kinds and they all covered the 2 bolt holes that are used on the stock.

I'm not sure if I know exactlt what you mean. Do the seats still use the two rear bolt mounts but still cover them up, or do they not use them at all and bolt up down on the struts? I'm just trying to figure a way where I won't have 2 bolts showing or a metal tab going back a little farther with a single bolt in the middle of the fender.

They dont use the 2 bolts at all. you remove the bolts and cover the holes with electrical tape. the mustang i have now mounts on single rear bolt and it is not covered when running solo. so instead of 2 bolts behind the seat it has one in the middle of the fender. others mount on the side studs.

Thanks tk353, thats what I was wondering. I was just hoping I could find something where there wouldn't be exposed bolts showing at all. I guess that's just the beauty of owning a Harley. LOL

Default Danny Gray

My new Danny Gray Buttcrack seat covers the holes of the stock mounts. You can even leave the stock studs in the fender and the seat just covers them and still looks great. The seat mounts just above the oil tank now and looks killer, and is pretty damn comfortable too.
