i got a set for my 07 deluxe (part #48112-00) and when i tried to put them on they dont seem to fit. the front part doesnt want to go over the welds in the swingarm.I could probably force them over but it is so tight that it is scraping the paint off. the covers are the correct part #. should they fit this tight?
c,mon fellas I see these axle cover on alot of your bikes. Did they fit loosly over the swingarm or was it paint scraping tight? I dont mind making em go but I dont want to scratch my swingarm up only to find out they arent gonna work.
Thats your problem then ...take em back....i think Harley have no idea what fits and what dont anymore....do you want part number...tell me what your bike is if so
ok you did actually buy exactly the same ones as i did originally and they did not fit mine...i think you need...
41661-06 fits 06-07 fxst , fxstb , fxsts and flstfse2 but you said yours was a deluxe forgive me is that a Tourer ? if so give me the model code as above
in that case you prob need 47596-91b or you may get away with 48056-97b but not if you have the stock shotgun exhaust.
the part number you originally bought should have fitted but just dont....cant really help much more than that other than to say i made the dealer tell me what i wanted and mine were hitting on the welds as well.
Hopefully someone with same model as you will give you better advice than me
