ThunderMax Questions
Today was try out day after installing the ThunderMax, Rush slip ons with 2" baffles and Stage 1 A/F on my 2008 Fat Boy. Real nice difference in performance and sound, and love the deep sound. Just a little decel popping which I think may clear up after the auto tune gets some more run time, or perhaps the map needs a little tweaking. The one thing that does concerns me is that fuel range reading no longer is present on the dash, and I have to assume that the fuel reserve light probably will be affected as well. I just have the clock, Trip A and Trip B functions. Can anyone shed any light on this.

I would give them a call. Could be needing the latest firmware upgrade, but I'm guessing as searching has found no reference to this problem. Talking to Zipper's will likely be the quickest solution. By the way, I believe the latest firmware is 4.8 available through the software via internet.

I was looking into getting one last year and read about a couple little bugs they had. One of them had to do with the fuel gauge. The bugs weren't serious but it made me wonder why such an expensive piece of equipment couldn't be made to completely mesh with the existing electronics of the bike.
