I'm looking at the Avon site. For the front it suggests MT90B16 Venoms. I found an AM-41 front tire easily enough on Dennis Kirk.
For the rear it suggests MT90B16 or 140/90B16. I think the 140 is a bit wider which I'd like to go with. But, on Dennis Kirk, I can't find this specific number that shows it fits the FLSTF.
Before I buy, I'd like to make sure I'm getting the right thing. Can I get the Dennis Kirk #540462 which is 140/90H-16 and reasonably expect it will fit?
You should be able to fit a 150 on the rear if you like. I put a 150 on the rear of my 2002 when I had the fatboy wheels on it without a problem. I think the stock size is 130 or 140.
Thanks Anubisss... That would be a 150/80B16 instead of the 140/90B16. I'm going to have to look up what the 80 vs. 90 means. The width would be 1" over stock.
I just spoke with the local HD. They said a 150 will work fine but he also mentioned Avons may run a little wider than Dunlops. I'll find out one way or the other as I have the tire on order. Thanks for the help.
My Avon Venom 150/80-16 mounted on a 3.000 Rim measures 5.960" with 9K miles on it.
New one arrived today and it was $142.98 to my door from Shade Tree Power Sports. The tire is 18 months old, newer than some from better known suppliers. http://www.shadetreepowersports.com/...onthsBetween=0
