I'm looking for a saddlebag setup that will use the quick attach studs that my back rest hooks to (when I'm not using the backrest). I don't need saddlebags when the wife's with me and using the 2up seat & backrest cause we can always throw a bag over the backrest but for commuting w/solo seat I'd like to have some quick detach springer style bags. I have a '96 fatboy.
i use a smaller bag when i am not on trips. easy brackets on trips and swing arm bag local. the swing arm bags works even with saddle bags. I got mine at garageleathers.com
I've been researching which types of saddlebags would be best fit for my harely cruiser. I checked out US Saddlebags website and found what i was looking for. They have the quick detach features for easy installation and removal of bags in seconds!
I ride a softail standard and my black leather saddlebags look great and store everything i would need on any road trip. It comes with a mounting kit with simple installation instructions. I called the owners on monday and was able to get my bags on the road by thursday!
I have the Boss bags on my 08 Fatboy and love them...look good and like posted before I didnt have to relocate the signals...and they have them is several styles and sizes...the nice thing is they are lined with plastic to maintain their shape and come off in a second with the mounts they send with the bag...if you travel and want to take them off and in the room or whatever its really easy...and when there not on you can get caps to cover the mounting points...but they are expensive but what isnt if you own a Harley

I got Boss Bags but didn't want to open the bags to install or remove them so I mounted them with Easy Brackets. This system works well for me. My daughter in law has Boss Bags with their mounting system, they go on easy and hold the bags on nicely. These both work real well, there are a few other systems out there also but I haven't
used them so I can,t comment on them.
