Keep a can of brake cleaner on hand to clean off the excess that spills on the bike. At least you ahve a drak engine. Imagine of you ahd the gray engine...LOL

i dont use protection, oops wrong question. i just let mine drain all over and that is a good excuse to go get the bike washed.

I just invert a grocery bag over the oil filterwhen I remove it to catch most of the oil. Then I clean up the 'mess' afterward. The mess is unavoidable, but always cleanable.

I like that 2 liter bottle idea. Will give that a shot next time.
I tried cutting open a 12oz can...too small.
