yep the factory afr is too lean and even if you did not install pipes it will run too lean. get a fuel management and a dyno tune or get a thundermax. The area where you turned blue is where the inner pipe goes to the outer pipe. yes it will turn blue or yellow. you can get a cleaner that will take off some of the chrome and make it shinny again but untill you get the fuel issue resolved there is not point.
I would check for that exhaust leak where the header pipe attaches to the muffler. The blueing you are talking about is about in that spot. I installed Hooker Troublemakers and after reading about it on this forum decided to check to see if I had a leak in that spot and sure enough I do. I'm in the process of getting a couple heavy-duty clamps. The leak is easy to detect. Just put your hand near there and you can feel the air coming out.
Now I have to check my wife's Heritage with Rebels.

I checked the large clamp where they meet and it was very tight. I couldnt feel a leak, I was going to spray some water/soap mixture where they connect to see if I can see something. I am going to order a PC V from fuel moto.
