Took the wife out for the first time today. It was the first time I've ridden 2 up, went really good. The wife loved it, she said she was so comfy that she almost fell asleep a couple of times on the 80 mile trek. The bike performed well, can't wait for my PCV and SE stage 1 AC...I'm sure it will pep it up a little and cool it down some...was about 90 today and she was feeling mighty warm at stops.
PeweterHeritage-
I have about 9000 out of the 12,000 miles on my bike ridin 2up. The wife likes it and honestly, my Heritage handles really well 2up.
I do have the stage 1 and race download, along with the PCIII, it give mine the extra pep your talking about, plus it did cool down some. I run Amsoil and mine runs about 200 degrees now on the filler temp guage. Prior to that I had seen 225 and a little more a few times.
Glad your enjoying the ride with the wife, its a great experience.
My wife loves riding 2up. Every nice days shes wanting to go for a ride. Too bad for her I hate riding 2up. Am I the only one here who doesnt like riding 2up?

Funny. My wife and I took our first 2 up last night. After I stopped a little short the first couple times things went great. Have only had my Deluxe for about a month (did the Sportster buy back trade) I got the wider passenger seat when I bought it and wife says it is pretty comfortable. Looking forward to many more although I still really love the solo rides.
That's really cool because me and my wife just took our first 2 up ride on Thursday. It's an awesome feeling. We spent 3 hours riding around the lake and a little bit in town. She loves it and wants to go out everyday but the stock Heritage passenger seat starts getting uncomfortable after the first hour or so. We're gonna step up to the touring pillion I think. That way I can keep the stock seat on.
My late wife and I rode 2-up all the time. Rode a CB-750 Honda to Canada and back putting in one 12 hour day on the road. Unfortunately I lost her to cancer. My current wife won't even acknowledge that have a bike let alone ride on the back.
