Default Rocker mod ?'s

I'm looking to lower my Rocker a little, and maybe install a tank lift. Any suggestions on which kits to use, and where to get it? Will I need a shorter kickstand? Also, what is the website address for Heartland? Thanks.

Thanks Reb. I did a search and found a couple of your posts on it (guess I should have done that first, huh?). I think I may go with that one. How's the ride? Did you replace the bumpstop?

I used the softail lowering bolts from Arlan Ness on my bike last year. Ride was very stiff. This year I have used Progressive 422 shocks and changed the bump stop. Was able to keep the bike lowered, still have a decent ride, but there may be issues with the rear fender kissing the trick seat now since there is more travel in the swing arm. Time will tell as I ride this summer. It may be another week or more before I have final pics to post, I am waiting for a new front fender.

if u have a grinder and drill with bit u can build your own tank lift.. 1" width by 1/8 " thick flat steel from home depot, stainless steel or chrome bolts from ace hardware and fuel line from auto zone and you have a kit for under 15.00 dollars.. hours worth of work and you should a self made mod.. good luck with your mods...

Thanks, Joe. I was looking at some and there didn't seem to be that much to them, easy fab job. I'm on it! And Reb, I ordered the Progressive lower kit. Will I need to press out the shock bushings with it, like it says? Also, is the ride harsh, and what bumpstop do I order? Thanks again for all the help, guys!

Well, crap, I didn't get it from Heartland. Anyone else know what stop to use, is it the standard Softail one? Or will Heartland sell just the stop?

If you just lower it around an inch or so, you don't need to change the bump stop. At least I didn't have to. For 1 inch lower, the ride a little stiffer but not that bad, looks alot better though.
