I am having a problem starting my bike (09 crossbones) when it is warm. It will start if I hit the starter again, but hardly ever on the first try when the bike has been run a while and is warm.
No problems when the bike is cold...starts right up.
Any ideas?
A lot of rebuilt engines, like mine with the 103, need compression releases to release the pressure that you fight against if the engine is restarted, while warm, soon after it is run.
Some folks do new starters, some new batteries, some start the engine before the injector cycle completes.
It does seem to happen less when started in neutral.
So far, I warm up the bike and bring it to the dealer to fix. So far they have adjusted clutch, replaced the starter and adjusted something else.
