I've been wanting to do some on my 07 since I bought it. We took a ride to Vegas last year and the dealer had a couple of Heritages on the floor with 12.5" bars and they felt really good. Now trying to decide on 12.5 or 14. I'm 6'4" so I'm leaning towards the 14s.
I just put the 502's on my 06 flstc, and I absolutley love them.
So much better to ride than the stock bars. I had bought them used and pre-wired they went on like a dream(a wet one).
The bars are shoulder height for me @ 6' and comfortable as can be, no more driver neck plus they look great.
I belive I went +4 on the throttle and idle cable, and +6 on the brake hose(could of been +4 though, I have some slack on the brake hose) +4(i think) on the clutch cable.
Do a search of chubbys on here and there are plenty of hints, tips and lengths that you will need.

Thanks but no. I sat on a couple bikes with 12.5" and they felt real comfortable. Holding my hads at 14" felt more natural but I borrowed my sons 16"s before he installed them on his WG and they were too high.
I've got the 12.5"s and love them. However, I've always wondered what he 14's would be like. Don't remember what I did for cables, since I did the throttle and idle twice for different reasons. (Long story) For some pics, you can check my album here on the site.
