niczumbo, have you looked at the rocker set up? The stock set up might be more cost effective. That is what I have been thinking for my xbones.
I did look at the rocker setup but it intailed using there ignition system and rewiring your own to match plus parts....
2000-2006 they use a standard coil on all the softails
(what you see on my night train now) in 2007 the made a new coil cover for the softails that is flush and form fitting
(which is what you see on my Fatboy Deluxe)
the problem was that you could not use the older coils so the cut of the fascia to the coil so the newer coil covers would fit nice and flush.
the problem was they did not tell anyone. when I asked 10 different dealers and 20 different mechanics they all said you cant do it. I posted on this form as well and no one could tell me for sure. I was not worried about the fit it I was worried about frying my ECM. I had a local dealer call there Harley tech line and they said no, but could not tell me why... so for a year I ask everyone I could and got no where.
so I called on a buddy of mine that is an mechanical/electrical engineer plus a aircraft mechanic. this was a difficult thing to do because he does not give straight answers. he gives you a lecture on quantum fisics before he gets to the nitty gritty. anyway he grabbed my old coil from my 01 fatboy and my 07 night train and put them through bunch of electrical test, the biggest was the ohm reading and concluded that they where the same thing except that one had a nice fascia and the other didn't. (that was the short version)
so I swapped them out putting the old good looking one off my fatboy onto my night train and boom it worked! he then ran a bunch of test on it while it ran everything was ok.
I took my night train coil (the ugly one) and put it on my faboy and swapped out the coil mounts and called it a day.
this might seem like a no brainer but if the ohm reading where not the same(by same I mean within spec +/- .0000015) I could fry my ECM....
keep in mind that all this was on FUEL INJECTED bikes. the carburetor coils are indeed different and can not be swapped. the way you can tell the diference between the car coil and a fuely one is that the carb coil wire plug is cocked or not centered

VS

if you do go that route and relocate the coil the wires will not fit.
OH MY GOD don't get me started on the wires you can use standard wires either that is for another post...
