Time has come to give up my 04 SportyC.
So Im thinking either the Fatboy or the Night Train. I like them both BUT my big question is for 2 up riding is one better then the other. Wife wants to get out on the back for weekends So no need to keep the sporty for her. Which was my 1st idea. The fact my wife is all legs at 5ft8 I'm wondering given the bobtail fender VS the full fender for 2 up is going to be a issue?
I really think there shouldnt be a issue.. just like to cover my bases.
Plus anything I should be on the look out for these two bikes as I shop around? Known problems or such?
As Always thanks
We really would need a pic of your wife to be able to answer this question properly.
They would both ride 2 up just fine but I'd tend to lean towards the Fat Boy as it is a heavier bike that is a bit more apt to two up riding in my opinion.
for 2 up most of the time, the FB might win out. seems like Ur sold on big back tire, also you didn't say if you are planing on adding any bags or shield. which would make the pick a lot easier...

Good try .. 12 yrs of marriage I know better then just to randomly post photos of the wife..
Was thinking the same thing as the FB is a heavier bike & bags would be a must given I use my current ride for my mode of getting around.
Thanks for the thoughts.
so we are not going to get pictures of your wife? For lots of two up riding on a fatboy, you are going to need a better seat, the stock seat sucks. My wife likes the passenger floorboards, but they are a bit ugly.
i had the same problem and was considering the same choices as you when i traded my 05 1200c sporty. i ended up goin for the heritage softail classic. Way more comfortable for rider and passenger than the fatboy and especially the nightrain. Also much better equipped out of the box.

I would go the heritage but what they seem to want around here in Cal. no way am I paying that much.
My Wife has been on the back of my Night Train twice?
Said she didnt like the seat (Badlander) and thought she was gonna fall off.
I bought a Sundowner and a backrest, put it on the bike and walked her out to take a look. I think she said "That looks Dorky!"... Derned young chicks!!. This was like $450 bucks later!!!
Seat is in basement. Backrest is too.
Bolted on a Larosa solo seat and decided to become an "Faux" Outlaw (Albeit an Outlaw with a sore ***!)and called it day...
Anyone want a Sundowner seat and a black wrinkle backrest sissy bar deal with a pad? Durty cheap?
Oops...Night Train or fatty to make the wife all happy and want to ride with you?
