The company I own services a location in Pearland. I get pissed everytime my crew is down there as they end up sitting around in pricey *** motels waiting for a dry night to go get the job done....3 years I have had this particular store on my contract and just recontracted for another 3.

My guys were out there in Jan and even though it wasnt actively raining portions of parking area (We stripe/paint parking lots) were wet.

My guy calls me from the jobsite and says "Chuck this really spooky old man security guard just told me a story of how this used to be a swamp".... "Says it will never dry until it gets colder".... "I think he knows his Chit Chuck...He is an old black Dude thats been around these parts forever"

4 days later it got colder. It had dried. Stephen King spooky?

Naw just a store built on a swamp in that Rainforest known as the greater Houston area!!!

It rains there almost daily.

My guys were in Houston in early Dec and got snowed on. The same day here in Colorado? 60 degrees and sunny. I aint never heard of snow in Houston?? I thought they were lying to me to laze around and take the night off. Global warming?

If I lived there I would just ride. Rains too much not too. Evidently it snows sometimes too!!!

I don't go out on the bike if its raining. If I get caught out, so be it.
But I tend to get REALLY parinoid because I can't see as well and the cagers seem to see even worse than usual.
I don't mind riding in the rain when I doing a charity or poker run because I'm not alone.
But when your alone, its raining and a little dark any bike, even one with bright lights on it is way too easy to overlook between wiper swipes.
Too many times I have been out, its started raining and seems like every car and truck within a 1/4 mile is trying to see how close they can get to me.

I've ridden in the rain.......it sucks. The rain feels like needles.....it sucks. I rode up a mountain on I-40 beside 18 wheelers on one side and concrete barriers on the other in a HARD rain......that really sucked. I don't ride in the rain if I can help it.....if that makes me a poser so be it.......I can live with that. Did I mention riding in the rain sucks?

If you are dressed right and ride with the right attention to the conditions, riding in the rain is actually fun (at least I think) - just not as fun as the less tense feeling on clean, dry roads. But if it's raining when I leave for work I don't bother taking the bike cause it's only three miles, and takes longer to clean the bike up than to make the trip. Going anywhere else I planned to ride, rain doesn't matter, especially living in the Puget Sound area - rains all the time here, so you deal with it. Besides, I set the tone for riding in lousy weather - EVERY new bike I ever took off the dealers lot I rode home in the rain, cept for the last - that time it was snow, not rain. (o:

A biker rides regardless of the weather....and a motorcyclist sits on the porch and polishes when it rains.

I ride to work daily. My rule is simple: If it is raining on the way to work I won't ride, otherwise I ride. Who cares it is going to be raining later.

I just don't want to be sitting at work in wet clothes. Work sucks enough!

My bike is all about utility, with the bonus that it is a Harley I don't like riding in rain, but it's just a part of the territory. Getting ready to suit up for a rainy ride to work this morning. Rain or shine, it still beats the cage!
