Damn Jiffy stand... there is a trick to it apparently. Read about it shortly after i managed to make my jiffy spring surrender and hook back up. I think you need a break peddle pad too along with some loctite blue...

Thanks. Just ordered a smaller brake pedal too. Will have to pickup the banjo bolts once everything comes in.

I put the spring on after the bracket was mounted on the bike, but it might be easier to do off if you have a decent bench vise. I connected the spring to the bracket first and pulled it onto the stand using a screwdriver. Place the shaft of the screwdriver inside the open hook on the spring, and pull on the shaft, on either side of the spring.

I don`t know how well I explained that... lol

Tom from http://harleygoodies.com/ here. A less expensive option for those that do not have enough room with the floorboards are the floorboard extensions. Just a thought for those who are on the fence about this. We offer a money back guarantee if you are not happy. Either way, enjoy those bones, boys.

Thanks. I think I understand what you're saying. I've had experience with tough springs on Jeep drum brakes. So, I feel your pain.
