The only problem I have with too much black is it turns the bike into a kind of stealth fighter that the cagers have that much more trouble seeing at night.
Otherwise no, you can't have too much black. After all black is the fastest color, isn't it?

H-D Street Slammer bars with Avon grips, Badlands Flame Thrower turn signals, Ness 3" extensions with Supreme Legends forward controls, a Drag Specialties stand bracket, and a ToughLinks shift linkage.

It does worry me a bit riding in the early morning and late at night, and at some point I'll probably get a reflective vest for those conditions, but otherwise it draws lots of stares.

understandable, I personally dont do a whole lot of night riding, but I think a vest sounds like a good idea.

Well. It is your bike so do what makes you happy and what you like best. BUT since you asked, I think the black can be overdone.

I love the darked out look of the night train, but I think it still needs to be complimented with some chrome pieces here and there.

That's just me though...

And that's why there's so many aftermarket parts available. You've got your vision for your bike, I've got mine.
