So i picked up my rockerc today I was so happy. Took off on a short ride with my girl and had a great time. When we got home i checked it over and found a bad gash on my rear fender right where the pull pin is on the seat!!! I just bought it today! Will the dealer fix this or is it all on me? I think it happened because I had it lowered about an inch in the rear before it left the dealership. Are they responsible for this damage? Please help me
lesson learned, never leave the dealer or any shop without going over it,
first time i had parts added at 1k service both the front and rear fender had small scratch in them, didn't notice till i cleaned it.
that sucks man !!! unfortunately it doesn't sound like they are responsible for it. all they did was lower the rear of the bike like you asked them too. but like others have said, hopefully your dealership's customer service is good and they'll help you out as much as possible.
don't get disheartened man, unfortunately we all go through some type of drama with our bikes (trust me, i know first hand) but it's all worth it in the end when you are out riding and smiling ear to ear.
Sorry to hear about your fender. Regardless who is responsible you are going to get it fixed. First, remove that pull ring and just thread in a piece of leather instead. Second, if there is no dent most likely it is just a scratch in the clear coat. Anyone good with paint can put a drop of clear on the spot, let it dry for a day, and then wet sand and buff it out. If you have a small dent, a Dent Doctor can take it out and then you can fix the clear coat. If by chance the scratch went through the color coat to the base metal then your looking at refinishing the spot and doing a clear coat over the whole fender. I know because I have done all of these to my rear fender. Rock On.....
Did the pin cause the damage? Or was the damage from the install? How far did you lower the bike? That fender is super exspensive, i would look for a good painter.
If you know you didn't do it, then the STEALER must have done it!!! You just didn't notice it at the time, cause you was to excited to get out and ride it!!! CAN'T BLAME YOU!
