Seriously Pi$$ed Off
It sucks dude, and YES, I know all about the exchanges, duties, and taxes of pimpin'-out our rides up here in Canada eh?
I was just in London last week. Great riding down by Aylmer & Tillsonburg.
Hope you solve your problem there. I'll be keeping an eye on this post. JR
Dealer who installed the tire was at fault.
Pulled the tire and found Dyna beads still in there even after he was suppose to remove them. He may have tried to some extent but the ton of soap and moisture in the air caused them to clump up. It always seem to shake more when the tire got warm on a longer ride. Here's my theory on how it plays out.
Tire shake is what positions these beads to the light spot, but with the FX front end and it's rake on the fxstc there is always some flexing and for and aft occilating going on from bumps and engine pulses vibrating the whole mess. Since the wheel is attached to this flexing shaking member it may be giving the beads faulse information on where to go, plus stuck together with soap won't help the effect much. Instead of balancing they did the opposite in this case.
Cleaned it all up, did a stick on treatment and drove around a bit to warm the tire up. Now for the acid test. Hit the super slab ran it at 80 90 and short 100 mph run. Back to normal now. While fork flex is and always will be there, it subsides right away instead of getting violent like when the clumped Dyna Beads were in there.
I have nothing against the beads as my 200 has them and no problem at all. For now the fixed weight stays. Anybody contemplating using Dyna beads needs to take care when mounting the tire in regards to soap, and water in the compressed air used. Life is good once again.
