Default Anyone modify new fact exhaust?

Was wondering if anyone ever modified a new factory exhaust other than punching a hole in the thing. I was thinking about taking the stock muffler and installing an aftermarket baffle like the thunder baffles? would be kinda kool to keep her stock looking with new sounding pipes...

My stocks had to go. Went with the V&H BR's but like the hell bents a bit better....when you get your tuner, dont go with V&H fuel pak....pice o crap. Motor runs lean I am now going to get the Screamin Eagle race tuner and getting it dyno tuned.

If I had known about them I 'might' have tried out the Thunder city baffles.
Seems they make a replacement for the stock mufflers which could come in handy if the idiots in the state capitol decide they 'know better' (idiots don't know squat about anything but spending money) and force us to use the stock pipes.

Every one I've heard with modified stock pipes, sounds Chitty. Several brands of slip-ons work and have a really deep sound.
I still have the Rush on mine and liked the sound of them so much I didn't change them even with I put the cams in couple months ago..Money was not a issue either, Just really like them...And the cams made them even better...even a little louder and deeper..

i would cut the back side out and reweld. or i could chuck it in my lathe and cut the back end out , use a boring bar to remove the guts and install a new baffle... lot of work but the idea is to keep it stock looking, do a little headwork, small cam, new fuel mngt sys and kick some se110 ***!! would look stock sound like a turd but i'd steal a little milk money from the boys with the SE110's

If you use a hole saw you can cut through the weld that holds the stock baffle in. Then you can pull it out to mod or replace it.
A Dremel tool or die grinder will do it too.
