need some help((2000 softtail check engine light on
hey guys... a friend just bought a 2000 heratage softtail.. bike is really nice and clean with 9,000 on the clock... the other day the check engine light came on is there any way to pull the code to see whats going on..all the dealers around here suck... thanks for any help

There is... but I don't remember exactly how. There are some articles in this forum and others that I google every time I need it. Has something to do with putting a jumper across two pins on a connector under the seat and then a certain combination of ignition switch and turn signal switches I think. If I come across it I'll post here but try google out for now.
