I'm really interested in getting a Softail Deluxe as an upgrade. But I'm short and am not sure if I can handle the 700+lbs. I've only been riding for a year. Can anyone tell me if this bike would be a good upgrade for me? Does it have a a lower center of gravity weight? Any input would be much appreciated
Most bikes (softails) are very well balanced. I think you mean are they low? They can be lowered to fit u.. Im not sure how tall u r but I have a friend who is 5'1" and rides a Road King...impressive! Good luck
thanks for your response. i'm 5'-2" with a 29" inseam and 120lbs. i'll just have to test ride one soon
I have a 30" inseam and have room to spare with my feet planted. I can move this thing backwards uphill if I need to. This is my ninth bike and no bike I've ridden handles better than the Deluxe at low speeds. Feels like it's much lighter than the 750lbs it is.
