Default RE: Brake question

My rear brake started squealing at the 1K mile mark. Someone from here recommended removing them and beveling the edges with sand paper. I did that and scuffed the enitire surface with sand paper, though they didn't look like they had glazed. So far, so good - 300 miles later and no squeal.

Default RE: Brake question

Every HD I've owned had a squeaking problem with the brakes. I tend to get less than 10K out of the stockers also. I've found that EBC pads seem to be much better. They fade less and last longer. Just my experience with them.
