Default Quick thudner monster baffle question...

The thunder monster baffles I got do not have instructions (ebay). Do the lollipop side of the baffles face the rear of the pipe? That is the only thing that makes sense to me. the other question is how far back in the pipe should I put these. I am putting them in 36" fishtail straights. Thanks. Pics to come once they are mounted which should be tonight or tomorrow. One more question...should the round top part of the lollipop face up, down sideways, what? I have read that different angles give different results. Let me know how you did yours.

6 inches from end of pipe is where you drill your mounting hole. I can't remember where my lolipop was positioned. I know I drilled the hole on the inside sidewall of the pipe. Lollipop facing towards the rear of the bike. By the way, BCT has great customer support, so you can call them and they will give you the exact direction.

Thanks Warg. What did you use to get the hole started. I don't have a punch. Any other suggestions or should I just run to the hardware store?

A 16p nail can work or a large screw... Depending on the hole size, sometimes I start with a smaller drill size cause its easier to make sure the hole is in the right sport, then use the correct drill bit.

Okay. I used a small screwdriver that was rather sharp and that worked fine. Baffles are mounted in the pipes. Quite a bit easier to do than I would expect. Next to put them on the bike.

Are P clamps strong enough to bend at a 90* angle? Anyone know? This is what I pan to do to mount the pipes, but I do not want to snap the clamps.
