I'm starting to not like looking at that fvcking sexy Street Glide above.
Maybe I missed something during my demo ride?
Maybe it was comfier than I thought?
Kick Rocks with that sexy Biatch Hammah!! You gonna make me go demo one again!!
Ummmm do they make one with a black motor?
Oh Yeah...Fvck this thread!
I put a 6 inch windshield on it tonight and that buffeting effect is pretty much gone. The wind hits me high on my forehead and it's high enough that it doesn't vibrate my sunglasses anymore.
Totally different bike for about 75 bucks.
Needs more power though....I'm too much of a power junkie to settle for 75 and 90. The HQ 575 setup is good for 115/135 ish....which is strong like bull for a 107.

That buffeting sucked ********* for sure...
I felt funky both times I demoed one. Like I was sitting up all dorky with my legs bent up too much? I swear the SG felt like a smaller bike than my train.
I may swoop on one this winter on Flea Bay or Craigslist. As it stands the thought of riding cross country on my Train is not realistic. Its too rough. Too edgy. Tonight I was feeling weird on a bumpy back road waiting to get spat up outta the seat and I couldnt see the bumps in time.
I thought about an older beater E-Glide and just making my own Glide as well.....
I'm envious Hammer. I wanna ride out to Vegas next month and dunno if I wanna do it on my Train in its current low suspended state.
I must be getting soft or something. 10-15 years ago I woulda bounced that biatch through the mountains and across the desert with a smile. Now I want a radio and a fvcking windshield to stop the wind and bugs!. Sheet.
To the OP...nothing wrong in going to a Softail. They are all around great bikes. I have toured on mine with no problems. Get a luggage rack, sissybar and t-bag and your good to go.
To the OP. If I could only have only one, then it would be a softail. When I can swing two, one would be my softail, and the other, a glide of some kind.
The guy asks a question about going from a tourer to a softail. His thread is hijacked by a couple people. Someone else reminds them about the original posters question and the same couple people keep at it. Go start your own friggin know it all thread and impress the sh*t out of each other. Dam!

I completely understand. I am going to put a set of Monkey Bars on it next that will get rid of the "dorky" upright feeling...lowering it and a low profile seat helped a lot too. This didn't feel right to me either at first, but within a couple of weeks, now it's my Train that feels odd to me.
I'd ride this to Vegas without question, I wouldn't even consider it on my Night Train. Some can do it but I am not one of em.
