I dont question the veracity of anything you said (timken bearing, tranny, crank, whatever).
I suggested that if you are going to toss out negative info like that, that you should put something behind it to back it up
and asked that you be more specific.
Dont react as if I attacked you. I did nothing of the sort.
The fact that you have not been posting here long means that you are not commonly known to be an expert by
the masses, even if in fact you are.
I dont know you or your experience level and since I have a lot of money in
a bike that you just basically crapped all over, I'd like to know how seriously to take your words.
P.S. as crappy as my tranny, crank, and timken bearing are, at least my bike doesnt have a "rear wheen"
I think they stopped including those in 06
"rear wheen", please explain that one, LOL, over my head............
And just a heads up, not "crapping" over anyone's bikes, but the older 02' model is the best built from the case up. And its alot easier and less expensive to mod a bike with a "fat tire" conversion , or auto chain tensioner or any other small design integration than to pull and split an engine open for durability upgrading. Hell I have an 03'............I wish I had the 02' would have saved myself $900-1000 in a timken conversion and a crankjob.

Think how good you would be at being a dick if you tried. You are the latest know it all to come down the pipe....many came before you and you won't be the last.
Do people with knowledge and experience intimidate you or something? Take the good out of what I say and be a man and leave it at that. Don't agree with what I say? Then no skin off your back, I am only giving fundamental advise on my experience. Is everyone in this thread a thin skinned white collar poser who needs to have their bikes and egos stroked or something? LOL
Man.....was this thread hijacked or what? He wasn't worried about whether to get TC88 5 speed or TC96 6 speed. He was asking about going from a touring bike to a softail.
To the OP. Get the best of both worlds and go for the touring softail..........Heritage all the way. TC88 5 speed or TC96 6 speed, who cares. Besides, If you ever miss the tunes or fairing on your Ultra, you can always get a removable one for the Heritage.
My advise to him was supposed to read as to get a softail, but an older one from 02' with the reasons listed.
Hell the softails are actually better long distance cruisers than the RK's and FL's(though I do love the new redesigned 09's frame etc)due to the counterbalanced TC "A" platform. It actually puts alot less vibration through the frame and handlebars, which I think is pretty key on long distant rides. And the availability of softbags, hardbags, tourpaks, floorboards, fairings etc you can literally make a softail into a RK or FL. Have the best of both worlds..............gee all I need now is to hear touring bike owners that Im "crapping" all over their rides...........I swear the whiners who only want to here "pros" and no "cons" on this thread belong in the movie "Wild Hogs"..........
Said the guy who was banned but came back with a different username......
LOL, whatever...........keep your tie and collar loose. How about going back on subject now, reduce the clutter of your frivilous posting for another thread if needed. Notice how one person comes in with input and a few others get all up tight with their britches in bunches and clutter this thread with uselessness instead of keeping a friendly informative "debate" if you will on differing angles to "pros" and "cons".

Really? Lets talk motorcycles? What was your first post in this thread about? It sure wasn't motorcycles, it was just trying to stir up nonsense. Pretty immature from where I sit. You should learn to take your own advise and stop calling the kettle black.

Yes...know it all douchebags are extremely intimidating...you nailed it.
You're no where near as stupid as I originally thought you were....which still isn't saying much.
When everyone thinks you to be an idiot....more than likely....you are.
Just a thought.
