I bought the Progressive front drop-ins as well. I believe I bought the 2" drop kit, so the PVC was 4.5" already. I just dropped them in. I did the rear 1.5-2" and it handles like a dream.

Do you do any 2-up riding with it being lowered this way? If so, how is it?
Just FYI when you lower the rear only you change the trail on your front which can affect your steering. the best is to lower both front and back the same to maintain the correct trail although a difference of 1'' should not make that much of a issue. HD
How hard is it to install a lowering kit on the rear of my 09 Train, for a person with an 8/10 mechanical ability? Or is it better to just give it to a shop?
If you got a press its no trouble, even if you dont have a press and have the ability to think outside the box it can be done its just easier and safer with a press. You will want a spanner wrench to adjust the preload after being done. Ive done this 3 times in 1 year all on different trains.
if you have a press it's a peice of cake. took me acouple of hours to take the shocks off and change the bolts and put the shocks back on. my cousin seen my bike after i got it done and now he's having me do his.
i'm getting ready to buy a drop in kit for the front too once i get some monet for a truck i'm rebuilding
