2DAKERB did this mod to his bike and posted the link to the place, I think in the night train picture thread. If memory serves me, he bought 2" shorter fork tubes (that's what you want, right?) and threw them in. I'll be doing the same thing when time permits. I'll look for that link for you.
Right on. I do remember now. I'll search him up.
Whats up with you Branner? Last I heard you had some cool chit in the works on that bike of yours.
Feel free to share a photo Homie!! Your whole look was a big factor in my own mods. That badass sprotor with spinner looking thing is still on me list of to-do's!
OK...I stole these from an esteemed fellow member. 2Dakerb.
This is a set of shorty tubes but I dont know if its just tubes or tubes and lowering kit. All I know is that this is how the frontend needs to look on my Train. I think he has a taller front wheel as well. This is badass. Look how Happy the Kerbmiester is on this bike and how perfectly slammed it is with his happy self onboard!!.
Wait until you hit a pothole with that setup. Ouch. I would just slide the tubes down in teh triple tree to see how it feels first, but that is just me.

No slide-ability on the wide glide FXST fork.
My though is that even tho' the tube itself is shorter in theory what I'm eliminating is all that extra unused tube protruding out of the fork slider.
My forks with a 2" progressive kit travel apprx 3" until they bottom. This is a photo of my right side fork leg with blown seal and you can see where it travels. I bottomed the fork hard hitting a big dip doing about 80MPH a few days ago. That mark would simply be 2" higher on the tube still leaving plenty fo travel. My thought is to do the 2" tubes and change my progressive kit from 2" to 1" if the full 4" is too much.
damn..........that front end looks good on 2darkerb bike.............i hope he chimes in here and tells us if its stock springs or??..................his front wheel is 23 incher too.........total badassness..............thinking i gotta go that route too .........hey chaz cant ya jus cut 2 inches off the stock tube................i cant remember wuts on the bottom of it
