strange oil leak from 2001 heritage
HI guys vinny here from australia , i have a strange oil leak coming from my 2001 heritage
,its only got 22300 klms on it and it goes great guns! it is a stock carby tc 88 with a screaming eagle high flow a/c.
Now it seems to be leaking oil from of all places, the voltage regulator cable under the front of the bike coming from the stator .after a ride it will sit for a week or 2 and sure enough it drops a few drops of clean oil from the cables from the regulator ,seems to be from the connection join. i have dried it out clean but still happens, it is not coming from the outside of the cables ,seems to be from the inside...any ideas on how this is happening and how to fix it will be great ,as its outa warranty....

That's like saying " while they're in there fixing my chest wound, go ahead and replace the heart"... LOL. Seriously, unless your having problems other than the leak, leave it alone... I have seen many a problem created by part replacements.........2 cents.
