I rode both before I bought.... ended up on a Heritage. The 'Glide, and all the other touring bikes, feel too heavy and cramped. I'm tall (6'5") and feel like a giant behind a fairing. I see a lot of EGlides with apes now, which would help, but I was not thinking about changing bars and seats when I was looking at new bikes. I got the one that fit me best at the time. But then I changed the bars on it too.
For 2-up, I put on the 14" cushion and floorboards. Eliminated almost all of the noise coming from behind me.

I too just couldn't get comfy or feel confident on my 09 standard electraglide. the deluxe feels so right. dont take passengers and still bottoms out. hehe..but i still cant get off of it.
I bought a wide open custom fairing for my Heritage. Now I have the best of both worlds and I can strip it down in seconds if I feel like swtiching it up a bit. I was surprised at the compliments I get. And best of all, GOOD TUNES I CAN ACTUALLY HEAR AND ENJOY!!

Where did you get the fairing?
I wouldnt mind one if it was quick release for the longer solo rides, like when I go to the state capital for work rallys, ride is 150 miles one way.
CSRflstc.... Can you use the stock seat with the 14" cushion, is that an HD accessory pillion. I would add pass floor board kit also, ready to ride after that.........

Yep, it a HD part, I think they call it the touring pillion. 2 inches wider than the original with more padding. It and the rear floorboards made my wife happy. She can ride all day now without complaining, much.

Thanks for the info, I'll look it up in the accessory book, planning on going with the vivid black, not that crazy with the other 2010 colors.......
You can't go wrong with a black Harley! My next one will be black. When I bought my Crimson Red Sunglow Heritage, my dad, an avid Harley rider and enthusiast for years, told me "you know Harley has two colors? There's ugly, then there's black!" LOL
So does this mean you have decided on the Heritage???
