Just installed one today and works great. I'm not a safety nut, but I've been running these on my bikes for years. Rear end collision is the scariest scenario for me because there is really nothing you can do to avoid it. All the experience and skill in the world won't help you if a cage is going to rear-end you. In a panic stop, you won't be able to flash the brakes by yourself.
Its basically a $60 brake light with the flashing circuit built in. Just passing it along, many people don't know these exist.

I like how easy it would be to use... how long are the bulbs rated to last?
Edit: I see the bulbs are changeable with out replacing the base with the electronics...

I ran my last one on a BMW for 3 years and it was still working when I sold it -- still on the original bulb.

I got the one that turns the turn sigs into running, and brakes, that gave me 300% more lights back there.
Check with the laws as some flashing tail lights in some state are not legal....
