you will be fine .. heads and cam will make a very good up grade
you can bring the compression up to about 9.6 and go with a 37 andrews or go a little higher say 10.0 and go witha woods 6.

The issue, as I understand it, is crank slippage. I wasn't about to spend a bunch of money and not address it, so I've gone the new crank route, and added the Timken while I'm in there. I figured I'd do it once and do it right.

It's a ton more expensive, but I now have a bulletproof bottom end.

Hillside does not cnc machine their heads they hand port them and their heads produce just as much hp/tq as some shops do R&R included.
Baisley CNC all his heads then he hand ports them to finalize them most shops do not do that as they think CNC is good enuff.
Me personally i would not use nothing R&R sells or makes . but thats me .
had dealings with them and will never do business with them again
GMR i would but not R&R..

i prefer Baisley . stands behind his stuff 100%
I wasn't trying to say R&R was the only way to go but simply an idea.. While you might have had a bad experience with them that doesn't mean they aren't an option.. I went with GMR performance and as it was explained to me; R&R does the cnc port work then GMR finishes the ports in shop along with the rest of the head work.. I've been very pleased with the performance I got and the service from GMR..

I've pretty much spoken (on the phone, not e-mail) to ALL of the builders that are discussed on these forums. The 2 most helpful have been Dave @ JD's and Steve @ GMR. Both have been extremely generous with their time, and given me all the information that I can possibly use for my builds. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either of these guys.
