Default speedometer on 92 softail

Hi was wondering i have a 92 heritage softail and i just put a set of fatboy tins on the bike.I cant seem to keep the speedometer cable from hitting the front fender when i turn and there is no clamp on the fatboy fender for the cable.Anybody have any ideas on how to keep it from hitting the fender?I saw a speedo relocation kit that moves the speedo cable to the rear wheel!Has any1 used this kit and how did it work ok for them? Thanks
