Ok, so while riding today, the speedometer quit on me, and after cycling the power all was well, except there were codes logged. The codes logged were as follows: b1004, b1005, and u1016. I know b1004 and b1005 mean "Fuel Level Sending Unit Low Instruments" and "Fuel Level Sending Unit High/Open Instrument" respectively. But what does that mean? Also I've read that the u1016 code is common with the thundermax and I shouldn't be alarmed about that. Any help would be appreciated.
dont worry about them. just a bug as you lost the speedometer data. just update to the latest firmware and reload your map. i had that happen 2 times and after the latest firmware it has happened again. just turn off the bike off and back on and your ok. also after you ride a few hundred miles read the learned offsets and then write the learned offsets and you will see a nice change.
Thundermax still has not fixed the issue with their unit... all you can do is cycle the ignition... I've had the same happen twice since I put the ecm on back in april... last time it happened was about a month ago...no new info or firmware updates at that time.
i re-flashed the firmware and started over and it happened once again so i will just live with it as it does not seem to hurt anything. I have only had it happen once after each flash so maybe it has to do with timing and wont come back.
If that is the only problem i ever have then i am very happy with it.
