Default Lowering: Dampeners/Tubes/Springs

what is the difference ?
performance wise, what is the best ?
any other consideration...?

I've been looking at:
~ Progressive front spring Kit #10-1561 - $100 shipped
(with separate purchase of rear lowering bolts - $25 shipped)
~ Arlen Ness front and rear Kit #17-025 - $160 shipped
~ 2" under tubes

open to suggestions
chris

I had started a good thread about this very subject.... Here Bro:https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...ison-pics.html

Needless to say the 2 under fork tubes are magic. No mas fork flex, bike handles like a GSXR....Pfffft. Joking but it really rails, holds a good line, looks better IMO and has better balance at speed. Combine the 2 under tubes with a progressive lowering kit and your handling will be golden!

Another guy PM'ed me the other night. He is gonna do a set of 4 unders....My ******** isnt big enuff to try the -4's but if his is sweet? I may change up to the 4's with stock guts as well.

Jack be nimble Jack be quick...Get yer' *** under the limbo stick!! All the limbo boys and girls riding round the limbo world.

Man, i had the Ness Dampners in my front end and it was the worst thing i ever did to my bike. Ride was horrible and dangerous. I remember i hit some bumps in the road and my front end started skipping...No BS...Took them out A.S.A.P. and went with Progressive...

I went with -2" tubes,Patriot Suspention Genesis springs<Race Tech emulator valves and drilled a second set of holes in the stock damper tube.I ended up with with the em valves set near medium after 2 tries. The front end is very smooth with none of the clunking or wandering effects from the stock set up. Handles like it's on rails compared to the stock set up.G.

Did you get them local or online ?
Can you point me in the correct direction to check these out ?

chaz: I did skim through it some, but you did a lot of different things...

Is This the correct progressive spring kit (It sure is less dough)

Now I need to find some spike-(ish) upper fork tube nut covers
anyone seen know where to get them ?

Thanx a ton everybody
I emailed a guy on Ebay about some 2" under tubes...

Are you looking to do the tubes along with the lowering springs?
If so and you dont have either you could go on ebay and get the -4 under tubes and the stock springs come with them and it will save you some money. I already had the progressive springs when I ordered the tubes, or I would have gone with the -4.
Just my 2 cents.

Also BKrider is who I bought my tubes from on ebay. Good seller, shipped the next day on mine.

You don't think the progressive springs will offer anything over the stock springs ?

I thought everyone said they rode better, and being lowered, I figured it would be necessary....
Is my way of thinking wrong...?

Got them from Ben at http://www.pipedreamz.biz/pipez_wetdreamz.html

Made here http://www.patriotsuspension.com/
I had Progressive springs which I thought softened up considerably after 25k or so.
Who knows these may do the same thing.I prefer the ride of the Genesis spring.I'm wondering that 4 under tubes with the emulator valve and stock springs might give the same results or close to what I'm running a little bit less cost.
Go for it NightRider and let us know.G.
