Drill them anywhere from 30-45 degrees from the top center of the pipe towards the outside of the pipe. They will not interfere with the heat shields. Make sure you keep the same location on each pipe. Also make sure you don't drill where a clamp wraps around the pipe. You will love them.
Good deal! I had them in my Rocker C with the side shots and realy liked them now I will measure 6 inches on each pipe right?

Yes, try to be around 6" depending on where the clamps sit. I went in 5" on my short shots. They sound and perform just as good at 5". BCT tells you to go in at least 3" but 6" is optimal. I don't think that 1" is hurting me too much.
I will have them today! I was thinking about if the weather was going to be good this weekend taking a ride down to Charlotte NC and pick them up but I was told they are not open on the weekends.Would had been a good ride.
The one for the Big Radius are they shaped for the curves in the pipe?
No the BCT baffles are not as long as the ones that the V&H brings. They are about 6 inches long. no need to curve. they slide right in with ease.

I got the BCT baffles installed yesterday on my Big Radius and all I can say is The bike sounds like a big block V8 now! I had the option to go in 5 inches or 7 inches I chose 7 because of where the clamps were. I used a Telescopic Magnet one that you can get at advance auto that helped me to line the holes up worked perfect! Took me around 20 minutes drilled installed the baffels and heat shields.

When I fired it up it was in the garage and it poped like a 12 gauge shotgun and then I took it down the road and then the happy was on It is like a different bike now I realy like them .
Great to hear (what did you say?) you like them. I have the QQ series in both the Big Radius & the Double Barrels at 5.5-6" in. They both sound great. I started with the original BCT's 3 years ago on the BR pipes but switched to the QQ's in the spring of 08. The are almost as loud, have a deeper growl & less pop on decel in the BR's. I just put the QQ's in the Double Barrels & oh my! If you want them louder install them near the end of the pipe. Deeper sound & more torque 5-8" into the pipe. I finished installing mine at 11:30PM last week & rolled down the driveway at 11:31.
Here's a pic of the DB's on the Heritage. Even though they sounded good stock , they were a bit too low, about 92DB's. The BCT's really opened them up & made them deeper sounding.
