I loved what the TM's did for my Samson Short Slashers. Absolutely Fantastic!! Nothing but praise.
After several years of the aformentioned set up I went with a 2-1 Kerker Super Meg to see if I would get any more ponies and I didn't.
Just lowered the volume down a little bit with the Kerker.
The TM's are highly recommended in my book.

Been reading about the wonders of these baffles for quite a while. One day soon just might get some.

I'd say it's definitely a matter of sound preferrence. I ran my stock V&H baffles for over a year. They were loud but definitely not loud enough for me. I pulled them out and the noise level was good, but just killed the low end. Installed the BCTs and it's quieter than the V&H baffles. The tone is good, definitely deep, but not loud at all like I expected from all the hype.

At this point I'm hoping the cam upgrade will increase the noise level, then I have a feeling I'll still be searching for the right sound. I'm starting to thing I may not get it with any kind of slip ons.

Part 2002. I had them in my Big Radius Pipes on my Road King.

Switch to Big Radius, Big Shot Staggered's or Short Shot Staggered's then go with the BCT Baffles and then you will see what all the hype is about. The problem you are having is you are running slip ons. The volume level will be louder if you run a complete aftermarket system. Stock Head Pipes suck.

Okay... Please... Can someone clear this up?

I've read all the posts and did my searches on the interweb... I've talked to three different guys, two indy's and one "hi perf" guy at a HD store. Two said that if I remove the baffles from my V&H BSS system and replace them with the BCT baffles it WILL get louder and still have decent back pressure. The other indy, said the exhaust tone will be lower, but not louder and added I may lose some low end due to decreased back pressure. He went on to tell me that he runs them and really likes the BCT baffles. BUT, that's on a "very built" engine... I was able to hear this guy's bike run and it did sound MEAN!! But in a closed up garage, even my lawnmower sounds mean!!

Can you say confusion?

I have a basic stage 1, TC88 (pipes, air cleaner, re-jet...) and I'm looking for LOUDER pipes... Will the BCT baffles do this for me? With no sacrifice in low end torque?

I have not had my Night Train dyno'd yet with the baffles but my Road King went up by 2 ft lbs after I added the BCT Baffles. The stock V&H baffles are the cheese grater style. The washer located in the BCT baffles does better at slowing the air exiting the pipe than the stock baffles. Trust me you will be happy. The overall sound volume is slightly louder than the stock baffles, but because of the substantially deeper tone of the BCT baffles it sounds a lot louder and the sound also carries further. Think about it like a subwoofer compared to mid-range speakers. You will hear a subwoofer from a greater distance because of the deeper frequency. Same goes with the BCT baffles.
