Friend gave me a used H4 HID kit, I am thinking to put it on the fatboy, does anyone have one on a fatboy? do you think I can hide it behind the headlight beam? I worry about the ballast gets too hot. Thanks!
Can't help you with fitment but if you ride with friends at night, be kind and stay up front.... ALL THE TIME.
We rode with a guy not long ago who was HID'd out. We were all afraid to change lanes cause we couldn't see sh#t behind us. Blinds the F out of ya... Just a thought...

my buddy is trying to get me to put an extra H4 kit he has (it's a kit designed for bikes). i'm a little hesitant cause i don't know jack about electrical, or light bulbs. hell, i don't even know if the bulb will fit my bike.
is it possible to put the ballast underneath the gas tank? here is what my headlight looks like. i don't think i'll have a problem fitting the bulb in there
A friend (JohnnyBoy) has an HID kit (Bosch) in his fatboy headlight. He said there was plenty of space to fit everything in the headlight bucket. He had to wire it directly off the battery and ran the wires under the tank. It is really bright. His kit is for a car too.
Me thinks I'd dig a little deeper into it... seems like I've read in the past in here somewheres that they have melted some members stock wiring,, so some new heavier wire might be in order if U change out.???????
just do some home work and check it out....
You know the HID light bulb actually runs cooler than halogen, correct me if I am wrong. They run higher voltage not amperage I believe, even though I would keep a regular light bulb on the bike, just in case of failure.
