Check out the Night Train pictures thread and look at TX Outlaws bike. I believe he's running one of those.

He has a set up that I like. It's one of the aspects I like about Fat Bobs when I was looking at them.

While the Night Train moves w/ enough power, the Street Bob will almost always get the lead. Dyna are typically not only light but the counter balance/torque loss of the softails are noticeable, especially on low end torque and pulling off the line.

I haven't honestly noticed a difference in handling whereas I thought either bike took turns better or rode a straight line better. I'm not taking 90' turns at high speeds, so I honestly think both bikes will handle adequately. Also, I think alot of that depends on how you sit, controls (forward or mid?), etc. Maybe if his Street Bob had mid controls instead of forward controls it would've felt different I'm sure.

Im the buddy Neo is talking about. The whole "Dyna is lighter" really doesnt make much sense with the power delivery argument. There is only a 20lb difference between the Street Bob and the Night Train when fully loaded and when empty. Check the link that was posted before.

There is a very noticable power delivery difference between the 2 bikes.
When I rode Neo's NT, I noticed you could lug the motor much more than the St Bob.
You will know when you are lugging the Dyna...the engine will tell you (you will feel it)....the Softy doesnt have much engine feedback.

The power difference is there....even if you dont want to believe it.......Im over 120lbs heavier than Neo....he cant catch me unless I let him!

I was originally going to buy a X bones, but after sitting on it....the riding position was not for me .....I wanted something more stretched out.

The St Bob with forward controls and the mini apes definatly has more room than the stock NT.....

The Dyna line is the rip roaring...hot rod of the Harley model lineup....it will shake your bones at a stop light, but will smooth out as the rpms rise.
I personally like the engine in my scoot to rock and roll at stop lights (it doesnt rattle though....dont know what poorly maintained piece of **** you were on.)

This is what is great about opinions....we all have our own......
you "Softy" guys prefer to ride faux hardtails..and are willing to sacrifice engine performance for lazy boy comfort.

The Dyna guys on the other hand.....like it raw....the way it was meant to be......

Take this as a half hearted attempt at busting *****.......dont take any of this seriously......Everyone likes what they like

Max, you sound just like my buddy, who out weighs me by about 80 lbs, who has a Dyna, and talks smack just like you. HAHA. Do you also have big radius pipes on yours, in black??
