Im running solid bushings so I dont know if the torque values would apply, being that they are intended for rubber bushings. Maybe I'm wrong but thats just my guess.
Yes the torque values still apply.

The helicoil kit will come with a drill bit, you have to drill out the remaining threads (resizes the hole for optimal strength) before you came screw in the helicoil
I see that you are holding a tasy beverage in your hand,,,,sometimes from experience those hender wrenching.. I know a guy who was cutting his shield down and put a real nice scratch on it with his dremmel tool, we all learn from our mistakes thank god

not drunk yet but working hard at it as i type...those bushings (rubber or poly) may reduce the vibration stress on the risers bolts?..maybe...hey tried finding the torque specs for my nt in the service manual only found for flstsc 144-180 in-lbs...recommend to get a torque wrench, u'll eventually use it
i jus tightened mine till that pos ground wire with the washer started turning.........oh and im always drinking , dont belive me jus check me spelling......lol
once the bolt stops turning (bottoms out), about 1/4 turn more with locktite should be sufficient.
BEST way is to use a torque wrench and get the torque values out of your service manual. (you have one....right? If not, get one)
Call around locally...someone might have a spare black riser around you can pick up.

Actually the bolt should not "bottom out". If so it would not tighten up. If U meant to say once the head of the bolt touches the bottom of the TT, then that would be correct...
But Mike will have it on the road for our sunday ride!...
Darn right!! Back together and test rode already. Friggin bars are SOLID! AAAAAANNNNNDDDD....UPS says my spike air cleaner is out for delivery as I type!!
