I read the whole thread, is there a reason a heritage or deluxe rear fender will not work?
I originally responded the info below. However, after reading your question again I have no idea what you are trying to do. Are you wanting to put a REAR fender on the front of a Springer? Or on the back? Or did you mean to say "front" fender?
(The fenders you mentioned will not work. The reason being is that they are a lot narrower than the Crossbones' rear end which is a 200mm. Those other fender typically fit over 150 to 160 rear ends.
The only way to make those fenders work is to either cut and widen them or replace your rear wheel with a narrower wheel such as that off a Heritage or Deluxe. Those wheels are perfectly interchangeable on a Bones.)

I'm bumping this very informative thread, as I am working on getting parts for the front fender swap. And, may be asking some questions, even though, it seems pretty laid out, as for what to do, but there are photos, and such, that I will be referencing. Being that I am not the most mechanical minded person, I may be posting here a few times.
Back from ordering parts. Everything I need to complete the fender swap, minus fender, and paint.....close to 500.00. Just to let you guys know where we are now, as opposed to 2010 prices.
sup, i have a 2011 crossbones and I have swapped out the rear fender for a fatboy rear fender thanks to the killer forum by col angus. Now I'm stuck on the front fender swap but I have the post from Skeezmachine and that too is detailed perfect. My problem is getting parts to make it happen. Does anyone know how I can get these parts in Canada I'm close to Toronto if that matters. My front fender is off an 05 heritage springer 59164-05. Cheers

Can you clarify your question a bit? What I could make out is that you already have a Heritage Springer front fender and need other parts to make it work?
If that's the case then you should be able to get everything you need directly from the Moco. Unfortunately much of the bits that are needed to complete this change don't come up on the used market too often and unless you get a fender that has just about all of the components already with it then going through the dealer or an internet vendor of H-D parts will be your best bet.
Again, can you clarify on what you DO have on hand and maybe we can help you with the rest.
