Question Can I ??

Bought some Harley 10" mini apes off of e-bay. I have a 08 Fat Boy. By chance can I get away without changing the cables?? Yeah I know that is a stupid question but I was just hoping. I am also trying to buy some tins from another forum member and if so I am going to change the color of the copper top and stash the copper painted tins. They probably won't be worth anything but to me, but at least I don't run the chance of dinging them up. Sure would hate to try and match that paint. Think the 105th anniversary edition will ever be worth anymore then the regular models?

The tens should fit. You might need to do some rerouting of the cables but you're not making that much of a change. There's a lot of 08s out there but the anni editions always seem to have an audience of buyers as years go on.

fwiw - Thought about installing some 10" chubby min apes last year and Wild 1 said the 10" would fit the stock cables. Call them to verify. Then again, you already bought them so try it.

I put Wild 1's, 10" drag bars on my 04 Fat Boy....ran wires internally and used stock cables...no problem. Their 10" drags move the grips about 1.5" up and 1.5" back from the stock position. After looking at the photos on their website (at the time), their 8" drag bars didn't seem to change the stock grip position (height and pull-back) much at all....that's why I went with the 10". I'm 6' and got tired of the mid-back pain I got after an hour of riding with the stock bars. I can ride all day with their 10" drags.
