Default bicycle story

I normally park my scoot under an awning where they park bicycles at my work (military base), works out great since their is never any bicycles there except for today, as I turned the corner to hop on my scoot, I felt all the blood rush to my face as I witnessed someones bicycle front tire leaning on my right highway peg. Immediate thoughts of kicking the bicycle frame in half came to mind but I immediately walked away to gain self control....still in a blind fury I found a 1" chain about 3 feet long and got a padlock (threw the key away) and wrapped/weaved the chain about 10 times around the frame and bicycle rack....quickly rode away with a big smile on my face

WTF are they thinking? Either way, I was one of the last to walk out of the building so someone had fun trying to chew through a chain on a friday night...hopefully, **** stick learned a lesson. Anyone have any weird issues with peeps f'n with your ride while away?

On the job before I retired as a millwright we used 1/4'' chains to move most machines.
A 1'' chain 3 foot long must weight bout 40 lbs or so and I would think that would be hard to find one just 3ft laying around..
Most padlocks wouldn't even go through two links to snap shut either.
I 've never seen anything heavier than 1/2'' chain that we used to move the big 100 ton presses in all the 38 yrs I worked..

Hmmm your motorcycle parked were bikes are supposed to park. You get pissed when a bike parks to close to your bike in the bike parking. You intentionally damage this persons bike and create hardship for them all due to you parking your motorcycle in a unauthorized area. Hmmm think about the guy on the bike when he pulled up to park his bike were he is supposed to felt.

Dude, seriously we all love our scoots but what gives us the right to park them were ever the hell we want them and expect all others to bow down to our ego. I am sure they thought the same thing as you "WTF are they thinking, there is a whole parking lot for them to use!". Voice of reason but what if they threw that same chain around your tire and locked you up and rode away with a smile on their face....

I am just sayin and you asked....

I agree with you, I think someone over reacted...
especially when a bicycle tire was touching a foot peg.
And he was parking in the wrong area.....
Karma is a mother &%cker.......
Something I wouldnt have posted here in the forum either....

I think you overreacted too. I also wouldn't be the least bit suprised if you go to leave one day and your bike is laying there on the ground. It's not like it's hard to push over a bike on it's kickstand.

So you got angry because rubber was touching your peg, just like the rubber of your shoes would? Way to go.
