Default stock parts- get rid of 'em?

I have the following parts off my 2003 softail deuce that I don't know what to do with.

Stock seat

Stock heads, jugs, pistons

Stock exhaust system with some Screaming eagle II slip ons attached

Stock slip ons

I'm in the military and I move around a lot. I've been trying to come up with a reason to keep all of these old parts, but it just seem to make much sense at this point in my life. I can't keep dragging all this crap around.

I don't mind unloading all of this stuff for cheap. Can anyone give me a good reason to hang on to this stuff?

Thanks, and ride safe.

the only reason i hang on to stuff is when i trade my bike i take off all the extras and put the stock stuff back on. I then re-use the extras on my next bike (if they fit ) or sell them on ebay and get about 60% of my money back.

Different states may have different regulations. You might need some of that stuff.

I keep everything but I don't move like you...if you are happy with your mods and plan to keep the bike around the only thing I really would keep is the exhust. Just in case....a stock exhaust is not cheap if you get a ticket and need one fast.

Sold most of the take off stuff, kept the stock head pipes in case I want to make my own exhaust system. Used craigslist and bike swap meets to sell stuff, if the EPA cracks down on modified bikes I'll be in the same boat with a few other bikers.

I'm military too----------but I keep my stock stuff. When I sold my last bike; I put some of the stock stuff back on and sold the aftermarket stuff to someone else. One man's treasure is another man's junk. Someone may not be willing to give you extra money for the extras you have on the bike. In that case; it makes sense to put the stock stuff back on and sell the aftermarket stuff on ebay or something. I'd keep it

Its interesting about the stock pipes availability. I visited the Latus Motors Salvage Shop in Portland Oregon this week. In the back are stacks of pipes that are off new bikes. They are pipes that new buyers give to the dealer when a new bike is ordered with aftermarket pipes. The funny part is that the guy running the salvage shop told me that he takes the pipes to local swap meets and can't even sell them for $5 a set. These are new systems folks. How much would you pay Harley if you dumped your bike and had to replace the muffler system from the headpipes on back $400+!

SE mufflers used are going for a lot more. He offered me $45 for the system I have off an 05 fatboy. What a joke, they would then put them up for $200+.
