I've been lurking here since I bought the '05 Heritage last May. Mostly looking at the mods that make the scoot a more comfortable cruiser. This is my first Harley and I put almost 4 k on it this summer. I like the idea of the leather trunk and put this one together for about $40. The factory bags look big but were just to small, hence the trunk. The brown straps out of the concho is my take on a hog tail with just a small amount of curl. There is about $3 in the tank bib that my Ipod clips into. I made a nickel / dime bag for the windshield (size is right) but just doesn't have the look I'm after so its not in the picture. The flap holster I made for the NAA revolver that attaches to the windshield bag is sweet and a keeper. Anyone got some ideas about leather luggage that you can strap to a Heritage and will hold a rifle? Springer riders need not respond.
Have at it....

A rifle? Your putting me on right?
I hope your pulling my leg, but if your really serious I would check around and see if you can get a rifle scabbard made for a horse saddle.
I think you can get one with a flap to cover the butt end, cause your gonna need it. Otherwise the first cop that sees you riding down the street with a rifle hanging off the bike is gonna have a heart attack. Then he's gonna fit you out with a nice shiny set of stainless steel bracelets.
Looks pretty good man...the trunk matches well with the stock bags. Love the ipod idea as well.
Good luck with the rifle though....I sure as hell wouldn't know what to think if I saw that....I'm sure my jaw would be dropping or something similar...
Here is a bag that I made from Chap Leather that is pretty much like a dry bag.and when not in use will roll up to about the size of a pair of gloves...Try cheaper than dirt for a rifle scarab..
